📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and integration of marketing technology stacks to drive growth across Rula Health’s Patient, Provider, and Partner pillars in a remote-first environment.
• Collaborate autonomously with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Data Engineering, and Analytics to solve complex challenges in campaign launch, tracking, and performance measurement.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable full-stack web applications using modern technologies including TypeScript, React, and Node.js in production environments.
• Own end-to-end delivery of high-priority technical initiatives—from ideation and architectural planning to deployment and post-launch optimization—while navigating technical trade-offs and aligning stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery, automate boilerplate code, and enhance overall code quality and consistency.
• Design and implement distributed systems that support high-volume marketing data flows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability across platforms.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, write comprehensive technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers to foster a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture.
• Integrate and manage marketing data tools including Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Segment, Marketing Automation platforms like Iterable, and visitor tracking tools like Google Analytics, Freshpaint, and Hotjar.
• Optimize data pipelines and event tracking systems to ensure accurate attribution, conversion measurement, and actionable insights for marketing decision-making.
• Utilize cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or GCP, containerize applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and refine CI/CD pipelines for faster, safer deployments.
• Apply advanced database design principles and performance tuning techniques for both relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational data stores to support real-time marketing analytics.
• Develop or integrate LLM-based features and agentic workflows into production applications to enhance personalization, automation, and efficiency in marketing operations.
• Work within a remote-first culture with flexible hours that support work-life balance and professional well-being, while maintaining alignment with U.S.-based team operations.
• Contribute to shaping an AI-forward engineering culture by championing innovation, automation, and best practices in software development processes.
• Participate in quarterly department stipends for team-building activities and in-person gatherings, and engage in wellness events and lunch & learns focused on professional and personal growth.
• Support Rula Health’s mission to destigmatize mental healthcare by building technology that enables compassionate, data-driven, and evidence-based patient engagement.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of building and scaling web applications in production
• Proven experience leading high-priority technical projects from conception to delivery, including stakeholder alignment and technical trade-off navigation
• Deep expertise in modern full-stack technologies: TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with strong understanding of functional and object-oriented programming
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to enhance code quality and delivery velocity
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable distributed systems
• Hands-on experience integrating with CDPs (e.g., Segment), Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., Iterable), and visitor tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar)
