- • As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Amplitude, you will be the pivotal technical expert and strategic partner for our most significant opportunities across the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Middle East, and Africa (MEA) regions. Your primary mission is to collaborate closely with Account Executives, acting as the technical quarterback to secure complex, multi-stakeholder deals. This involves a deep understanding of prospect needs and translating Amplitude's powerful AI analytics platform capabilities into tangible business outcomes that resonate with Product, Marketing, and Analytics leaders.
- • You will lead the technical discovery process, meticulously mapping prospect workflows, understanding their existing technology stack dependencies, and identifying key decision criteria. This deep dive allows you to precisely align Amplitude's unique differentiators with their specific challenges and goals.
- • A core responsibility is the design and execution of tailored, hands-on Proofs of Concept (POCs). These POCs will be built using the prospect's actual data and specific use cases, providing irrefutable evidence of Amplitude's value and impact.
- • You will be adept at navigating and resolving technical objections that may arise concerning data architecture, privacy and compliance regulations (such as GDPR), and integration complexities. Your ability to address these concerns with confidence and clarity is crucial for deal progression.
- • A significant part of your role will involve presenting technical concepts and solutions to C-level executives and other key stakeholders. This requires translating complex technical features into compelling return on investment (ROI) narratives that demonstrate the strategic business value of Amplitude.
- • Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to Deal Execution, focusing on leading technical evaluation phases for deals ranging from $100K to over $1M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). This includes conducting in-depth discovery, designing and executing POCs, and handling technical objections.
- • Internal Collaboration will account for approximately 20% of your time. You will forge strong partnerships with Product Management to provide critical feedback on feature gaps and customer requirements that directly impact deal velocity and sales cycles. Furthermore, you will work closely with Customer Success teams to ensure seamless technical handoffs and maintain alignment during the crucial implementation phases, setting customers up for long-term success.
- • You will also play a vital role in mentoring and developing junior Solutions Engineers. This includes sharing best practices for technical positioning, demo execution, and effective customer engagement, contributing to the overall strength of the SE team.
- • The remaining 10% of your time will be dedicated to Thought Leadership. This involves actively contributing to Amplitude's competitive intelligence by analyzing and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of competing tools such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, and Mixpanel. You will also be instrumental in developing reusable demo assets, creating valuable technical content, and building robust proof-of-concept frameworks that can be leveraged by the broader Solutions Engineering team, enhancing efficiency and consistency across the organization.
- • Success in this role is measured not only by closing deals but also by influencing revenue and maintaining a high technical win rate. In your first 90 days, you are expected to ramp up on Amplitude's platform, deliver at least three customer-facing demos, and contribute to two proof-of-concept implementations. Within your first year, you will significantly influence revenue in closed-won ARR, maintain a technical win rate exceeding 70%, and develop at least two reusable assets for the team.
- • This role is critical as Solutions Engineers are recognized as force multipliers at Amplitude. The deals you win are not just about hitting quota; they are about demonstrating how product analytics drives measurable business outcomes for enterprises undergoing digital transformation. You will gain direct visibility into our product roadmap, participate in executive strategy discussions, and have a unique opportunity to shape Amplitude's competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy within the dynamic MEA market.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in software pre-sales roles, such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Consultant, or Technical Account Manager.
- • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with product analytics, experimentation platforms, or customer data platforms.
- • Proven hands-on SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex queries (joins, aggregations, window functions) for behavioral data analysis.
- • Demonstrated track record of successfully closing technical evaluations in competitive enterprise deals.
- • Comfort and experience presenting technical concepts to a diverse audience, including both engineers and business stakeholders.
- • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
