- • The Sr. Specialist, Learning & Development (REMOTE - US) at Merck & Co., Inc. supports Learning Partners in executing the Learning & Development strategy through consulting and delivery of appropriate learning solutions, applying business priorities and best practices to drive performance outcomes.
- • Day to day, the role involves partnering with divisional stakeholders to identify performance needs and gaps, collaborating with design experts and operational support to align learning solutions with business outcomes, building and maintaining strong business relationships, and applying adult learning theory to design and deliver high-impact learning interventions.
- • Merck & Co., Inc. is a global healthcare leader committed to innovation, inclusion, and improving health outcomes, with a Learning & Development function that integrates internal expertise from Design & Development and Learning Operations to maximize effectiveness.
- • In this role, the person can deepen expertise in adult learning theory, learning needs analysis, business consulting, and data analytics while gaining experience in strategic partnership, change management, and measuring learning effectiveness to drive organizational performance and business value.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- • Minimum of 6 years of related experience (4 years with Master’s degree).
- • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience and minimum 1 year of experience facilitating/delivering learning solutions or relevant pharmaceutical/oncology experience.
- • Proficiency in Adult Learning Theory, Learning Needs Analysis, Instructional Design, Business Acumen, Collaboration, Oral and Written Communications, and Data Analytics.
- • Experience applying adult learning concepts to meet dynamic business needs and assessing competency gaps to identify learning requirements.
