• • As a rapidly growing organization, Oscilar's systems are experiencing increasing complexity. We are seeking a highly experienced SRE to assume comprehensive ownership of the reliability and performance of our multi-region, cloud-native platform. This role offers significant mandate and autonomy, enabling you to design, implement, and continuously evolve systems that maintain peak performance and resilience, even under challenging conditions such as extreme traffic spikes, dependency failures, and global deployment scenarios. You will be instrumental in defining and advancing how we scale our infrastructure, how we build a robust observability framework, and how we operate the underlying infrastructure that supports billions of events and sophisticated large-scale data pipelines.
• • In this critical position, you will be responsible for architecting and operating highly resilient cloud infrastructure, primarily leveraging AWS, Pulumi, and Kubernetes. Your expertise will be crucial in leading strategic initiatives aimed at significantly improving the availability, reducing latency, and enhancing the overall performance of our platform at scale. You will also be tasked with designing and evolving our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, focusing on optimizing for speed, safety, and repeatability to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve defining the essential metrics, alerts, and runbooks that will form the backbone of our observability strategy. This includes establishing clear monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact users. Furthermore, you will champion a culture of resilience by designing and executing chaos experiments and failure simulations to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, thereby hardening the platform against unexpected events.
• • Beyond technical contributions, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor for other engineers, sharing your deep knowledge and setting best practices for SRE principles and operations across the entire company.
