- • The Sr. Strategic Sales Manager role at WEX Inc. is an individual contributor position focused on developing new direct business opportunities across the Corporate Payments product portfolio in North America, with an emphasis on optimizing B2B payments and expanding virtual card usage.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, preparing and delivering high-quality presentations and proposals, negotiating contracts, maintaining accurate Salesforce and account management data, collaborating with internal operations teams, and providing revenue forecasting and reporting.
- • WEX Inc. values internal talent growth and emphasizes that its people are central to the company’s success, operating with a consultative sales approach and a hunter mentality to drive results in the Corporate Payments Commercial Team.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in B2B payment solutions, strengthen consultative selling skills, build executive-level relationships, and contribute to strategic objectives while exceeding sales quotas and driving growth in virtual card and payment verticals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree preferred
- • Minimum of 6-10 years of direct sales, account, and/or channel management experience
- • Proven record of generating own leads and a hunter mentality
- • B2B payment experience and virtual payment industry knowledge (substantial plus)
- • Comprehensive understanding of financial services and complex solution sales process
- • Proven track record of exceeding annual sales quotas
