Sr. Supply Chain Planner (Starship)

📋 Description

• • As a Sr. Supply Chain Planner for Starship at SpaceX, you will play a critical role in enabling the development and production of the Starship spacecraft, directly contributing to SpaceX’s mission of making life multiplanetary by ensuring a reliable, efficient, and agile flow of mission-critical components.
• • Day to day, you will manage and continuously improve demand and supply plans for Starship design groups, maintain accurate multi-level bill of materials (BOMs), develop inventory strategies based on part criticality and lead times, optimize warehouse space through part retention policies, collaborate with engineering to identify critical spares, automate repetitive planning tasks, track fulfillment status across assemblies, lead cross-functional issue resolution meetings, proactively communicate supply risks to management and engineering, monitor inventory levels to trigger purchase signals, and serve as the key liaison between supply chain and engineering teams.
• • You will join SpaceX’s supply chain department—a mission-driven team responsible for procurement, planning, fulfillment, supplier development, quality, logistics, and inventory—working to build a resilient and competitive supply chain that supports Starship’s rapid development and SpaceX’s broader goals of advancing space exploration.
• • In this role, you will develop expertise in aerospace supply chain management, gain experience with complex multi-level BOMs and high-stakes production planning, strengthen your ability to influence cross-functional teams, master inventory optimization techniques in fast-paced environments, and contribute directly to historic milestones in spaceflight while advancing your career in operations and supply chain leadership at one of the world’s most innovative companies.
