- • Serve as the primary technical expert for NETGEAR’s ProAV solutions across the South Central U.S., supporting customer onboarding, field engineering, and pre-sales activities
- • Lead end-to-end customer onboarding for ProAV switch deployments and third-party AV-over-IP integrations, ensuring seamless transition into production environments
- • Deliver remote and on-site technical training on AV-over-IP network design, switch profile selection, PTP configuration, Dante/AVB/Milan setup, API integration, and video system configuration
- • Develop customized training materials, system design documents, and internal/external knowledge base content to support customer and internal team adoption
- • Provide advanced on-site field engineering support for high-profile customers experiencing complex timing, multicast, or interoperability issues in AV-over-IP systems
- • Capture system logs, perform packet traces, replicate issues in lab environments, and deliver real-time diagnostics for critical production failures involving AVB, Dante/AES67, NVX, Q-SYS, SMPTE-2059-2, PTPv2, and multicast protocols
- • Commission and validate AV-over-IP system deployments to ensure stable, scalable, and interoperable performance across multi-vendor environments
- • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Channel teams to scope technical requirements, design system architectures, and create Bill of Materials (BOM) for ProAV solutions
- • Conduct on-site and virtual product demonstrations to showcase NETGEAR ProAV switch capabilities and competitive advantages against rival platforms
- • Contribute technical insights to expand NETGEAR’s market presence through competitive analysis, technical positioning, and solution differentiation
- • Develop and maintain internal automation tools, scripts, and utilities for log analysis, configuration validation, and profile parsing to reduce troubleshooting time
- • Author best practice guides, deployment checklists, and technical documentation for internal teams and external partners
- • Represent NETGEAR at U.S.-based industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events by delivering technical workshops and presentations on AV-over-IP technology
- • Support live event deployments at industry events by configuring and validating multi-vendor AV-over-IP network setups
- • Maintain deep expertise in ProAV networking products, multicast networking (IGMP), routing and switching fundamentals, and switch profile development
- • Conduct independent lab testing and technical self-study to stay current on emerging AV-over-IP standards and ecosystem integrations
- • Collaborate closely with the South Central Sales Territory Manager to align technical support with regional business goals and customer deployment timelines
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in networking systems, AV-over-IP technologies, or related systems engineering roles
- • Deep knowledge of ProAV networking products, AV-over-IP technologies, multicast networking (IGMP), and switch profile development
- • Hands-on deployment experience with AVB, Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, SMPTE-2059-2, and multicast networks
- • Field experience troubleshooting complex AV-over-IP systems
- • Willingness to travel up to 60% within the South Central U.S. region
- • Independent lab development and advanced technical self-study skills
