- • The Sr. Tax Analyst will be a key member of our established tax team, reporting to the Senior Tax Manager in Mexico and collaborating with international team members. This position is central to managing the day-to-day tax operations for G-P, with a primary focus on the LATAM region.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass direct tax compliance, accurate tax provision calculations, and the meticulous documentation of transfer pricing policies, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax regulations.
- • You will play a vital role in managing the international tax compliance workstream, ensuring corporate income tax returns for assigned entities, primarily in the LATAM region, are prepared accurately and submitted by their deadlines.
- • A significant part of your role will involve assisting with the calculation and analysis of the tax provision for LATAM entities, including the reconciliation of US GAAP to Local GAAP differences pertinent to tax provisioning.
- • You will be responsible for calculating and analyzing current and deferred tax, and preparing necessary post-tax journals and adjustments for entities within the LATAM region.
- • Contribute to financial forecasting and the analysis of financial reports, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making.
- • You will actively support the company’s global transfer pricing initiatives. This includes contributing to the preparation and maintenance of the master file, local files, Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR), and CBCR Notifications, ensuring compliance with international transfer pricing regulations.
- • Collaborate closely with external service providers and internal team members on a variety of tax-related matters, including direct and indirect taxes, and specific issues such as the tax implications of variable compensation in different jurisdictions.
- • Provide essential support to the Senior Tax Manager on diverse queries, projects, and strategic initiatives arising within the LATAM region.
- • Assist in the review of profit-sharing arrangements for specific countries within the region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- • Proactively develop and deepen your expertise in international tax law and specific tax regulations within the LATAM region. You will work with external tax advisors to develop and document positions on complex international income tax matters.
- • Support the Senior Tax Manager in managing local tax audits, aiming for timely and efficient resolutions that minimize tax liabilities.
- • Respond effectively to inquiries from business units and foreign entities regarding tax matters, providing clear and accurate information.
- • Partner with the Senior Tax Manager to implement tax projects and strategic planning initiatives, contributing to the company's overall tax efficiency and compliance strategy.
- • Stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations in the LATAM region, assessing their potential impact on the company's tax position and advising on necessary adjustments.
- • Work closely with external advisors in Mexico to facilitate the recovery of VAT balances, which involves meticulous review of invoices, payment reconciliations, and contract analysis with key suppliers.
- • Assist in managing and responding to official notifications received from the tax authority in Mexico, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
- • Support the Senior Tax Manager in preparing for and attending face-to-face reviews with tax authorities in Mexico.
- • Assist with tax address verification processes for G-P offices located in Mexico.
