- • Own the full-cycle tax process for a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, C-corps, S-corps, partnerships, and multi-state entities—preparing, reviewing, and e-filing returns that range from straightforward to highly complex.
- • Serve as the primary technical authority on federal, state, and local tax matters, performing deep-dive research and modeling to uncover credits, incentives, and entity-structure optimizations that materially lower client tax burdens.
- • Translate dense regulatory changes (e.g., new Schedules K-2/K-3, SALT cap work-arounds, or international GILTI/FDII rules) into plain-English action plans that clients and junior staff can execute with confidence.
- • Review every return prepared by junior associates and interns—delivering line-by-line feedback, coaching on best-practice workpapers, and signing off on e-file authorizations to ensure 100 % accuracy and bullet-proof audit trails.
- • Build and maintain ultra-organized digital client files in UltraTax, SmartVault, and QuickBooks, leveraging cloud integrations and custom Excel macros to automate data imports, eliminate keystroke errors, and shrink turnaround times.
- • Act as the key liaison between clients and external auditors, assembling PBC lists, coordinating 990-T filings, and providing responsive support that keeps audits moving smoothly and strengthens long-term relationships.
- • Design and implement process-improvement initiatives—think dynamic depreciation schedules, state apportionment dashboards, or client-facing tax-planning portals—that scale across the firm and free up team capacity for higher-value advisory work.
- • Lead client onboarding for new tax engagements, orchestrating secure data collection, prior-year diagnostics, and transition calls that set clear expectations and showcase Manay CPA’s white-glove service from day one.
- • Mentor emerging talent by hosting monthly technical huddles, creating bite-size CPE-style micro-lessons, and modeling a growth mindset that turns junior preparers into future reviewers and managers.
- • Collaborate fluidly with colleagues in accounting, payroll, and HR advisory during off-peak months—lending tax insights to cash-flow projections, year-end bonuses, or multi-state payroll setups to deliver holistic client value.
- • Support business-development efforts by contributing technical content for proposals, fielding prospect questions during sales calls, and occasionally representing the firm at virtual conferences or webinars to expand Manay CPA’s global footprint.
