Full Job Description

📋 Description

• Lead a team of experienced SRE engineers to raise the standard of reliability in blockchain infrastructure for the Polkadot platform and technology.
• Set engineering direction, build conditions for good work, and apply SRE discipline including SLOs, error budgets, and blameless postmortems.
• Work within a small, high-impact SRE team responsible for test and production network environments, deployment pipelines, observability, and systems supporting developers, node operators, and end-user applications across the ecosystem.
• Contribute to Parity’s mission as a core blockchain infrastructure company founded by Dr. Gavin Wood, co-founder of Ethereum, advancing groundbreaking technologies in the Web3 space.

🎯 Requirements

• Systems thinking with a genuine understanding of distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure.
• Proven experience working in or leading a team that takes SRE seriously, including practical use of error budgets and SLOs.
• Track record of automating repetitive work to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineers and foster growth in team members.
• Comfort working in unconventional infrastructure environments, particularly blockchain systems that deviate from standard cloud operations.
