- • As a Staff Accountant at Agent Inc., you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of a Nashville-based company that provides essential print and digital communications services to major mortgage institutions and banks, ensuring accurate financial records that support reliable customer communications and regulatory compliance.
- • You will work closely with finance leadership and a local senior accountant to uphold the accuracy of financial data, directly contributing to the company’s ability to serve its clients with trustworthy financial operations in a fully remote role based in the Philippines.
- • Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining the chart of accounts to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with accounting standards.
- • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing schedules, analyzing variances, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- • Collaborate daily with the local senior accountant and AR/AP team to resolve discrepancies, validate transactions, and ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- • Navigate and maintain data integrity in QuickBooks (legacy system), including running reports, troubleshooting discrepancies, and preparing data for the upcoming migration to NetSuite.
- • Manage inventory accounting functions where applicable, including tracking inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and reconciling physical counts with system records.
- • Ensure accurate financial record-keeping by adhering to internal controls, GAAP principles, and company policies, supporting audit readiness and financial transparency.
- • Assist in financial reporting and analysis by preparing monthly financial packages, supporting budgeting efforts, and providing insights to finance leadership.
- • Participate in process improvement initiatives, particularly around the NetSuite migration, by documenting current workflows, testing new system configurations, and training team members.
- • Maintain clear and proactive communication in English with distributed team members across time zones, adapting to a flexible schedule that overlaps with early morning US Eastern Time to ensure seamless collaboration.
- • Uphold confidentiality and security of financial data while working remotely, following company protocols for data protection and secure system access.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial accounting
- • Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop or online)
- • Strong communication skills in English
- • Ability to work in a remote environment with flexible time zone overlap to accommodate early morning US Eastern Time
- • Understanding of standard accounting processes including monthly close, reconciliations, and general ledger management
