  • You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of our financial data, which is critical for strategic decision-making across the company.
  • Take ownership of key components of the month-end close process, meticulously preparing journal entries, performing thorough account reconciliations, and conducting insightful variance analysis to identify and explain financial fluctuations.
  • Actively support daily accounting operations, managing the intricacies of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger to maintain seamless financial workflows.
  • Play a crucial role in revenue accounting by helping to maintain precise records for tuition, fees, and other revenue streams, ensuring that all revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Meticulously review and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card expenses, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and unwavering adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal financial statements and management reports, providing essential data that empowers leaders across Campus to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including academic, operational, and administrative departments, to ensure that all financial transactions are coded correctly and that accounting processes are as efficient as possible.
  • Actively participate in the development, improvement, and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, establishing robust financial frameworks that can scale with the company's expansion.
  • Provide critical support for our annual audits and tax-related work, as well as other compliance reporting requirements, by diligently preparing necessary schedules, gathering comprehensive supporting documentation, and fostering strong collaboration with both internal stakeholders and our external auditors and tax advisors.

🎯 Requirements

  • Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
  • CPA license or demonstrable progress towards obtaining a CPA license.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern finance tools and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, with a commitment to producing accurate and well-documented work.
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify inconsistencies, investigate root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and a desire to build and improve processes.
