- • Staff Backend Software Engineer role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining critical API services for Addepar’s Portfolio Data Workflows team in Poland, powering financial data ecosystem and supporting expansion into European markets.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing robust API services, leading architecture designs and product roadmap creation, researching and driving adoption of new technologies, analyzing complex systems to determine optimal approaches, mentoring and coaching other engineers, contributing to code reviews and technical designs, debugging and troubleshooting across the application stack, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive experience in software development, including building backend services in a professional environment
- • Deep and expert knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle
- • Proven ability to influence technical direction and make significant contributions to the architecture of complex, distributed systems
- • Experience building services with Java, SQL, and AWS
- • Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems
- • Experience with Elasticsearch is a nice-to-have
