Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the voice and content foundations for Abridge’s AI, creating style guides, principles, and standards that govern how the AI communicates across clinical and patient-facing surfaces
- • Work directly with ML researchers and model teams to embed content standards into training data, prompts, and model fine-tuning—not just surface-level copy
- • Translate complex clinical workflows, billing codes, and AI-generated outputs into language that is accurate, trustworthy for clinicians and clear, reassuring for patients
- • Define distinct content standards for two audiences: clinicians who require precision and speed in documentation, and patients who need simplicity and emotional clarity
- • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to advocate for content quality at every stage of the product lifecycle—from model behavior to final visit summaries
- • Establish and elevate the practice of content design at Abridge, setting new benchmarks for how language is thought about, developed, and implemented across the organization
- • Shape how an AI speaks during high-stakes medical moments, such as delivering a new diagnosis, adjusting medication, or outlining a care plan the patient must follow
- • Ensure AI-generated language is honest, warm, and human-centered without corporate gloss or oversimplification of medical realities
- • Collaborate with UX researchers, designers, and engineers to align content strategy with user needs, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements in healthcare
- • Build scalable content systems that support enterprise clients and multi-stakeholder environments while maintaining consistency and trustworthiness
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related discipline with a portfolio spanning enterprise and patient-facing products
- • Demonstrated experience building AI style guides and writing content standards that directly influence model behavior and training
- • Working understanding of how LLMs are trained, including the difference between pre-training and post-training and their impact on content design
- • Proven ability to translate highly technical concepts into clear, honest, and human language without softening truth or adding corporate gloss
- • Range to write effectively for both clinicians (needing accuracy and efficiency) and patients (needing clarity and reassurance)
🏖️ Benefits
- • 14 paid holidays and flexible PTO for salaried employees
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families
- • Monthly HSA contributions for employees on High Deductible Health Plans
- • Generous paid parental leave and family forming benefits
- • 401(k) matching contributions
- • Personal device allowance with tax-free funds
- • Monthly Lifestyle Wallet for fitness, professional development, and coworking
- • Dedicated access to therapy and coaching for mental health support
- • Paid Sabbatical Leave after 5 years of employment
- • Flexible work hours and an inclusive, high-growth culture
