- • As a Staff Data Engineer at Laurel Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the data infrastructure that powers the company’s AI Time platform, which automates work time capture and connects it to business outcomes for professional services firms worldwide. Your work will directly enable engineers and data scientists to deliver faster, more reliable AI-driven insights by ensuring data flows efficiently, securely, and at scale from ingestion to production inference.
- • You will design and evolve Laurel’s global large-scale data platform architecture, operate data pipelines processing millions of events per day, and define best practices for data ingestion, transformation, processing, and storage using technologies like Airflow, Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Clickhouse, and Kafka. Additionally, you will mentor team members, improve CI/CD automation, work on Python/Django API services for AI infrastructure, manage Kubernetes and Docker compute infrastructure, and contribute to internal OLAP and DataLake systems while advocating for engineering excellence across the organization.
- • Laurel’s infrastructure, data, and security team — affectionately known as the Time Owls — is responsible for making the company’s infrastructure more reliable, secure, and easy to use. The team builds and maintains the tools, platforms, and automation that allow engineers to work seamlessly with AWS, Kubernetes, and other services, while acting as both best-practice advocates and policy enforcers across all applications in the company.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in ML infrastructure, streaming architectures, and cloud-native data systems while working at the intersection of infrastructure and AI. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the foundation of a rapidly growing platform that processes over 1 billion work activities annually, directly impacting how professional services firms optimize time, increase profitability, and make strategic decisions — all while growing as a technical leader in a mission-driven, innovative environment.
