- • As a Staff Data Scientist at Apartment List, you will drive impact by building and deploying machine learning models that match renters with properties, directly influencing revenue growth and user experience in a two-sided marketplace.
- • Day to day, you will frame ML problems, engineer features, develop and experiment with models, deploy them to production, monitor performance, and iterate based on results, while collaborating across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Growth teams.
- • You will join a high-impact Data Science team that has delivered 40%+ incremental revenue growth through rigorously tested ML models, working in a virtual-first, innovative environment focused on transforming the rental experience.
- • In this role, you will shape the Data Science roadmap, mentor peers, raise the bar for experimentation and modeling, and gain influence in strategic decision-making across the business through data-driven insights.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of industry experience developing, deploying, and iterating on machine learning models in production
- • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
- • Deep proficiency in Python and SQL with comfort across the full model development lifecycle
- • Experience with statistical and machine learning methods to solve critical business problems, including causal inference and experimental design
- • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- • Curiosity and judgment to tackle ambiguous, high-leverage technical problems and drive measurable outcomes
