- • Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the end-to-end analytical function for that domain.
- • Define the right business questions before initiating analysis, challenging flawed assumptions and ensuring every project drives a material business decision.
- • Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports using SQL (ClickHouse) and Metabase to track key performance indicators and surface actionable insights.
- • Conduct independent data extraction, cleaning, structuring, and interpretation to answer complex business questions without reliance on engineering support.
- • Design and analyze experiments to test hypotheses and optimize growth, product features, or operational efficiency.
- • Translate analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations and drive alignment with product, growth, finance, or operations teams.
- • Own the execution of insights from initial hypothesis through implementation, ensuring analytical work directly influences business outcomes.
- • Operate as a first-principles problem solver: break down ambiguous, high-stakes problems into testable hypotheses before writing code or querying data.
- • Communicate complex findings directly and precisely to stakeholders at all levels, avoiding jargon and burying the lede.
- • Act with ownership: take responsibility for fixing issues or improving processes even when they fall outside your formal scope.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, prioritize initiatives, and align analytical efforts with company goals of scaling from 5M to 50M customers.
- • Utilize Python and Jupyter Hub for advanced analysis, automation, and modeling tasks where required.
- • Maintain code and analyses in GitHub for version control, collaboration, and reproducibility.
- • Contribute to building a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by modeling rigor, curiosity, and accountability.
- • Work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment with no corporate fluff — focus is exclusively on work that moves critical business metrics.
- • Report to the central Data Science & Analytics team while being fully embedded and accountable to a specific business unit’s goals.
- • Deliver results in a startup environment where speed, clarity, and impact outweigh process, slides, or unnecessary meetings.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- • Strong analytical skills with ability to independently pull, structure, and interpret data
- • Proven track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable business impact
- • Proficiency in SQL (ClickHouse) and Python for data analysis and automation
- • Clear, persuasive communication skills with ability to influence leadership-level decisions
- • First-principles thinking mindset: prioritize defining the right problem before analyzing data
