📋 Description

• As a Staff Data Scientist embedded within ClassDojo's District GTM team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the company scales its impact in K-12 education by turning fragmented data into strategic action that drives district-level growth and adoption.
• You will own the end-to-end analytical lifecycle—from ingesting raw CRM, product usage, and marketing data to delivering trusted insights that directly influence sales targeting, messaging, and resource allocation—ensuring data becomes a first-class citizen in GTM decision-making.
• The District GTM team operates at the intersection of education technology and enterprise sales, leveraging ClassDojo’s widespread adoption in over 95% of U.S. schools to expand into structured district partnerships that unlock deeper learning experiences for millions of students globally.
• You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product leadership as a trusted peer, translating complex business questions into rigorous analytical frameworks and enabling data-informed strategies that compound over time through reusable models, dashboards, and experimentation.
• In this role, you will build foundational data infrastructure—including ETL pipelines, dbt models, and standardized metrics—so that future analysts and business stakeholders can self-serve insights without bottlenecks, accelerating the team’s ability to iterate and scale.
• You will design and execute structured experiments with Sales and Marketing to test hypotheses around teacher engagement, district size, and persona-based outreach, measuring impact on pipeline conversion and deal velocity to refine GTM tactics with statistical rigor.
• By cleaning, unifying, and documenting core B2B datasets from Salesforce, marketing platforms, and product analytics, you will eliminate data silos and establish a single source of truth that supports reliable forecasting, segmentation, and performance tracking.
• Your work will empower GTM leaders to move beyond reactive reporting to proactive strategy—identifying high-potential districts, optimizing resource allocation, and personalizing engagement based on predictive signals of adoption and expansion.
• Over time, you will mentor and elevate the analytical maturity of the GTM organization by creating reusable frameworks, clear data definitions, and accessible dashboards that enable non-technical stakeholders to explore trends and answer their own questions.
• You will operate within a modern analytics stack featuring Salesforce, SQL, dbt, Amazon Redshift, Metabase, and Airflow, using these tools to build scalable, maintainable systems that reflect ClassDojo’s commitment to engineering excellence and data integrity.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field with a proven ability to deliver business impact through data.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with modern analytics tooling including dbt, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery for building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, including data extraction, cleaning, and modeling of complex B2B sales and marketing data.
• Proven track record of analyzing B2B SaaS sales pipeline, funnel, or revenue operations data to uncover insights that changed how teams prioritize, target, or allocate resources.
• Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences and drive cross-functional alignment.

• Competitive salary range: $205,000–$245,000 USD for employees based in CA, WA, NY, NJ, or CT; $174,500–$208,500 USD for all other U.S. states, reflecting geographic location, experience, and skillset.
