- • As a Staff Engineer (Account) at RecargaPay, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact, scalable solutions for the company's backend infrastructure, tackling complex engineering challenges and taking ownership of key technical projects that drive innovation and excellence across systems.
- • You will lead technical initiatives, shape project strategy, and ensure successful execution of medium to large-scale backend projects while delivering solutions that balance business goals, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- • RecargaPay is an AI-first, 100% remote team serving over 12 million users and processing more than USD 4 billion annually, operating its own credit business and profitable since 2022, with a mission to deliver the best payment experience for Brazilian consumers and small businesses.
- • You will mentor and guide engineers across levels, champion best practices in coding and system design, drive the evolution of engineering practices, and promote AI-assisted engineering to enhance developer productivity, code quality, and team velocity while solving technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
🎯 Requirements
- • Academic background oriented toward computer science, engineering, or software development disciplines.
- • Development using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka and AWS.
- • Experience with asynchronous programming.
- • Proven ability to design complex distributed applications built for high performance and throughput while being scalable and reliable.
- • Demonstrated experience profiling and performance tuning Java applications, and using monitoring tools for production application monitoring.
- • Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects.
