📋 Description

• Lead the application of AI-assisted development techniques to real-world product and platform challenges, including code generation, automated test creation, static analysis, and dependency refactoring.
• Partner with product engineers, DevOps, and the Developer Platform team to integrate AI-driven workflows into existing engineering systems and development processes.
• Translate proven AI-assisted practices into reusable platform services, SDKs, and frameworks that enable organization-wide adoption and scalability.
• Drive special engineering initiatives with product teams focused on high-impact goals such as codebase modernization, performance refactors, and CI/CD workflow automation to demonstrate AI’s impact on velocity and reliability.
• Mentor engineers across the organization on the effective, responsible, and ethical use of AI tools in daily development workflows, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Contribute to the technical strategy for integrating AI into the company’s developer platform, engineering practices, and long-term product delivery roadmap.
• Apply hands-on coding skills to deliver production-grade systems within complex, multi-service codebases using backend technologies like Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, or Go, or frontend/mobile technologies like React, TypeScript, Next.js, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin/Android.
• Leverage AI tools for productivity gains such as AI-assisted code generation, automated test authoring, intelligent refactoring, and code quality tooling within real engineering environments.
• Utilize CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and developer platform tooling to build and deploy AI-enhanced engineering solutions.
• Set and elevate standards for system design, code quality, operational excellence, and developer experience across engineering teams.
• Demonstrate leadership through action by building prototypes and turning them into maintainable, production-ready systems that improve team efficiency and reliability.
• Measure success by the tangible improvement in how quickly and effectively engineering teams can build, test, and deploy software.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure AI-assisted practices are adopted responsibly and aligned with organizational goals around ethics, security, and maintainability.
• Act as a technical influence and thought leader in the domain of AI for engineering productivity, shaping how the organization evolves its development practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership across squads or groups
• Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems across complex codebases
• Backend or fullstack expertise in one or more of: Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, React, TypeScript, Next.js, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin/Android
• Demonstrated success using AI tools to improve engineering productivity (e.g., AI-assisted code generation, automated test authoring, intelligent refactoring, workflow orchestration with LangChain, MCP, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and developer platform tooling
• Proven ability to set and elevate standards for system design, code quality, and operational excellence
