📋 Description

• • Found & shape the charter for Quizlet’s brand-new Client Platform team. You will be the technical anchor who decides which shared problems across Web, Mobile, and future surfaces deserve a unified solution, and then you will design, build, and ship the libraries, tooling, and infrastructure that every product squad depends on.
• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of cross-platform capabilities that directly affect 60 million learners. From whiteboard architecture sessions through production rollout, you will define SLAs, write the code, shepherd reviews, instrument observability, and iterate based on real-time usage data.
• • Architect and deliver a next-generation analytics logging and feature-flagging layer that unifies Web (React/TypeScript) and Mobile (Kotlin/Swift) pipelines. Your design will cut weeks off experiment setup time and give Product & Data Science a single pane of glass for understanding user behavior.
• • Create a deep-linking and navigation standard that works seamlessly across iOS, Android, and Web, enabling marketing campaigns and push notifications to land users on the exact card set, study mode, or AI tutor session they need—no matter which device they open.
• • Build deterministic, hermetic end-to-end testing harnesses that spin up full Quizlet experiences in CI, run visual regression and performance assertions, and block merges before a bad release reaches learners. You will evangelize adoption across 20+ squads and turn reliability into a competitive advantage.
• • Drive incident readiness: author runbooks, automate rollbacks, and lead blameless post-mortems that convert every outage into durable safeguards. Your operational bar will become the company standard.
• • Influence senior engineering and product leadership by presenting quarterly technical strategy docs that tie platform investments to learner outcomes and business KPIs. You will secure headcount, budget, and cross-team commitment for multi-quarter initiatives.
• • Mentor senior and staff-level engineers across Mobile, Web, and Backend guilds through design critiques, pair programming, and architecture office hours. Your coaching will multiply the impact of every platform decision you make.
• • Stay ahead of industry trends—whether it’s server-driven UI, WASM on mobile, or generative-AI-assisted developer tooling—and run lightweight spikes that translate buzzwords into practical prototypes within weeks.
• • Champion an inclusive, feedback-rich culture where the best idea wins, psychological safety is non-negotiable, and every teammate feels empowered to question assumptions and propose bold solutions.
