- • As a Staff Engineer on Stripe's Experimental Projects team, you will operate as an in-house innovation lab engineer, rapidly transforming ideas into working prototypes that could shape the future of Stripe's platform and product roadmap.
- • You will identify and champion technical solutions for high-ambiguity business opportunities, translate complex user needs into platform strategy, and build and ship products from scratch across the full technology stack, often in just days.
- • You will work within Stripe's Experimental Projects team, an idea incubator that builds and tests new concepts with real users, contributing directly to Stripe's mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by empowering businesses worldwide.
- • You will have the autonomy to lead initiatives spanning multiple teams, influence technical roadmaps, and serve as a key engineering representative when engaging with senior leaders, while developing deep expertise in rapid prototyping and user-driven iteration.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of engineering experience or equivalent combined work experience reflecting domain expertise
- • Experience in rapidly developing prototypes and iterating based on user feedback
- • Demonstrated strong product intuition and experience leading initiatives spanning multiple teams, leveraging deep domain expertise to influence tech roadmap planning and execution
- • Experience building and shipping products from scratch
- • Experience leading and influencing technical roadmaps for initiatives spanning multiple, highly interacting teams
