📋 Description

• • Staff Engineer, Ground System Software (R4787) at Shield AI, Inc. is a critical role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining software systems for the XBat Platform, directly enabling safe and efficient drone operations that support the company’s mission of protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems.
• • Day to day, the engineer will build robust ground control stations, mission planning tools, and communication interfaces; collaborate closely with Aircraft Software, Hivemind, and Flight Test teams; and provide user-facing applications to operate the XBat system at the intersection of major system components.
• • Shield AI is a venture-backed deep-tech company founded in 2015 with offices and facilities across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, producing products like the V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, Hivemind Enterprise, and Hivemind Vision, with technology actively supporting global operations.
• • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in real-time embedded systems, cross-functional systems integration, and mission-critical software for unmanned aerial systems, while contributing to national security objectives and advancing Shield AI’s Hivemind AI pilot technology.
