📋 Description

• The Staff Engineer Market Data role is about building the systems that ingest, process, store, and serve market data with high performance and reliability.
• The infrastructure processes a high volume of real-time data under strict reliability and accuracy guarantees, which is what makes it trustworthy for institutional use.
• The team is distributed across the US, South America, Europe, and Asia, with a strong concentration in Europe.
• This role requires someone senior enough to work independently from day one.
• This is an IC role with a path toward leading a small team (3 to 4 people) as the organization grows.
• The role calls for strong, hands-on Rust experience, real-time streaming systems experience, and experience with high-scale data storage and processing, specifically in the context of market data.
• The responsibilities include building and maintaining core market data infrastructure in Rust, working through practical problems specific to real-time market data, bringing real market data or trading systems knowledge into engineering decisions, communicating clearly with the rest of the team, and taking on leadership of a small team over time.
