📋 Description
- • As a Staff Engineer - .NET/AI at WEX Inc., you will play a pivotal role in building the next generation of employer benefits solutions by combining deep software engineering expertise with emerging AI technologies to solve complex business problems.
- • Day to day, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges, design and implement scalable microservices using C# and .NET, develop AI-powered features including RAG-based applications and agentic workflows, write comprehensive tests, monitor production systems, and mentor peers while driving technical excellence across distributed teams.
- • You will join WEX’s Benefits Technology team, which focuses on simplifying benefits administration for clients through innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions, operating in a collaborative, agile environment that values ownership, continuous learning, and technical leadership.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native development, AI integration, and distributed systems while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like LangChain, vector databases, and the Model Context Protocol, positioning you as a technical leader in AI-enabled enterprise software.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong hands-on experience in software development, architecture, deployment, and production operations using modern backend languages such as C#
- • Proficiency in React and experience building and consuming REST APIs
- • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- • Familiarity with LLM concepts, RAG-based applications, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus), and agentic workflows including tool use and state management
- • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, communicate technical trade-offs effectively, and collaborate across geographically distributed teams
