- • The Staff Engineer - Packaging Innovation leads technology scouting, evaluation, and development initiatives to support Niagara Bottling’s mission of delivering high-quality, affordable bottled water through low-cost leadership, operational scalability, and sustainable packaging innovation.
- • Day to day, the role involves designing and executing R&D projects, conducting experimental trials on manufacturing lines and pilot systems, analyzing data to drive technical recommendations, developing predictive models, collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, and external partners, evaluating emerging technologies, performing laboratory testing using R&D equipment, supporting manufacturing trials and product launches, presenting findings to stakeholders, and contributing to intellectual property development and innovation strategy.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Materials engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- • 6 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Material Science
- • Experience working with engineers, graduate researchers, interns, or lab assistants
- • Proficiency in advanced data analysis and tools such as Matlab, Python, or similar
- • Experience with analytical laboratory equipment including Material Strength Testers, DMA, DSC, or full-field measurement techniques
- • Strong written and oral communication skills for technical documentation and presentations
