- • As a Staff Engineer on Stripe’s Production Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Stripe’s API infrastructure, directly impacting the global economy by enabling businesses to scale and innovate.
- • Day to day, you will lead a team of engineers, provide technical mentorship, drive project execution across the full development lifecycle, collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to shape API roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, user-centric solutions are delivered with strong incident response and architectural oversight.
- • You’ll join one of the world’s fastest-growing technology companies, working within the Production Engineering team that is responsible for the latency, reliability, and efficiency of Stripe’s API — a core component of its financial infrastructure platform used by millions of businesses globally.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in large-scale API infrastructure, refine your technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, and have the opportunity to shape the future of developer experiences while contributing to systems that power global commerce.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of technical experience or 7+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering
- • 5+ years in a strategic technical leadership role
- • Experience leading engineering teams working on API design, abstractions, frameworks, or client libraries
- • Hands-on experience building infrastructure and products for internal or external customers
- • Proficient in at least one of the programming languages: Java, Ruby, Python, or Go
