📋 Description

• As a Staff Frontend Engineer at ClickUp, you will lead the design and development of major frontend systems and product initiatives, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of work through ClickUp’s AI-powered converged workspace that unifies tasks, docs, chat, calendar, and enterprise search.
• You will drive technical excellence and engineering velocity across teams, influencing architecture decisions and mentoring peers to elevate frontend craftsmanship while ensuring scalable, high-performance user experiences.
• Day to day, you will lead development of complex product features using Angular 2+ and React, partnering with backend, integrations, product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality user experiences at speed.
• You will architect scalable, reusable frontend patterns and component systems that improve product quality, reduce technical debt, and increase developer velocity across the organization.
• You will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, UI architecture issues, and scalability risks in large-scale web applications, applying deep expertise in TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, and modern frontend architecture.
• You will drive engineering best practices in testing, observability, code quality, and maintainability, helping teams adopt robust testing strategies using Jest, Vitest, Playwright, and related frameworks.
• You will guide teams in making strong technical decisions under tight timelines and evolving priorities, balancing immediate product needs with long-term technical health and system sustainability.
• You will own end-to-end delivery of large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment between product goals and technical execution while mentoring engineers and leveling up frontend skills across domains.
• You will contribute to improving collaboration and workflows among frontend engineers across different product domains, fostering consistency and innovation in frontend practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in Angular 2+ and React
• Strong command of TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, and modern frontend architecture patterns
• Experience building reusable component systems and scalable frontend application structures
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and building for large-scale web applications
• Strong product sense and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving company
• Demonstrated success leading major technical initiatives and influencing across teams
• Strong mentorship skills and a track record of leveling up other engineers
• Excellent communication and execution skills, especially in high-urgency environments
• Strong experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Jest, Vitest, Playwright, or related frameworks
