📋 Description

• As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer on the Rodeo team at Twelve Labs, you will shape the interaction layer of a video-centric creative tool where microinteractions, animation, and polish define the product experience, directly impacting how users engage with cutting-edge multimodal AI technology.
• You will own the feel of the product by building fluid, highly polished UIs with React and TypeScript, implementing microinteractions, transitions, and animations using Framer Motion, React Spring, or GSAP, and translating high-fidelity Figma designs into pixel-perfect production interfaces.
• You will collaborate closely with the design team as a creative partner, prototyping interaction concepts rapidly to validate design direction and advocating for micro-details that elevate product feel, such as loading states, error handling, and view transitions.
• You will build and maintain a component library and design system that enforces consistency and craft across Rodeo, while optimizing rendering performance for complex canvases, timelines, and media-rich views.
• You will write reliable unit, integration, and E2E tests for complex interactive UI workflows and thoughtfully leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation without compromising quality.
• You will work in a fast-paced, iterative environment alongside designers, contributing to a mission-driven team that is redefining video understanding through multimodal foundation models backed by $107M in funding from top-tier investors including NVIDIA’s NVentures, NEA, and Index Ventures.
• You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in creative tool development, interaction design, and media-rich interfaces while working on a product where craft and polish are paramount, with quarterly travel to San Francisco and monthly in-person collaboration in Los Angeles required.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production frontend applications, with meaningful experience in creative tools, editors, or media-rich products
• Deep experience with React and TypeScript
• Strong command of animation and interaction libraries (Framer Motion, React Spring, GSAP, or similar)
