- • As a Staff Infrastructure Engineer at Morpho Inc., you will own the end-to-end infrastructure platform that enables the engineering organization to ship faster, operate safely at institutional reliability standards, and scale across chains and regions without reliability or indexing bottlenecks. This role is critical to Morpho’s mission of powering human ambition with open access to capital by ensuring the underlying infrastructure can support over $10 billion in deposits while maintaining high availability and predictable performance.
- • Day to day, you will architect and scale production infrastructure using pragmatic patterns and automation to achieve high availability and predictable performance under $10B+ deposits; build self-service infrastructure with developer tooling and paved paths to reduce deployment time, unblock engineers, and increase deploy frequency; design and evolve high-performance data and indexing systems with scalable architectures to process billions of on-chain events with sub-minute latency; establish GitOps-based deployment practices with progressive rollouts and safe rollback mechanisms to reduce MTTR and increase operational confidence; implement end-to-end observability with metrics, tracing, and alerting to proactively detect issues and meet agreed SLOs; lead incident management and post-mortems with clear written follow-ups to improve reliability, learning, and long-term system health; and drive infrastructure strategy through written RFCs, infrastructure-as-code standards, and cross-team alignment to ensure infrastructure decisions map to product and business impact.
- • Morpho is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol that has raised $70 million from top-tier investors including Ribbit Capital, a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, Brevan Howard, Pantera, Blocktower, and 50 others. The company is experiencing explosive growth with over $10 billion in deposits on its network, solidifying its position as the new standard for DeFi lending. Morpho is scaling its team to establish itself as a cornerstone of a new internet-native financial system, operating with a mission to power human ambition through open access to capital in a closed and fragmented financial world.
- • In this role, you will build deep context on Morpho’s on-chain deployment patterns, core services, and current infra pain points within the first 30 days, align on reliability and developer velocity targets, and document an initial infrastructure strategy. By month four, you will deliver visible improvements to developer velocity and reliability, reduce critical bottlenecks in indexing and data pipelines, and establish foundations for secure access and consistent infra practices. Within one year, you will achieve multi-region readiness for at least one tier-1 surface with tested failover, meaningfully improve developer productivity while meeting SLOs, and reduce platform unit costs through measured optimization and a strong, simple operating model.

- • Proven experience leading infrastructure transformations that improved developer velocity and system reliability.
- • Strong systems thinking and ability to translate infrastructure decisions into clear trade-offs and business impact.
- • Calm under pressure, with experience leading incident response and post-mortems for high-stakes outages.
- • Clear async communication: writes crisp RFCs, runbooks, and incident reviews that others can execute without meetings.
