📋 Description

• Staff iOS Engineer at Polymarket Inc., responsible for owning and advancing the iOS product as the company scales its mobile presence in the prediction market space.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include owning the end-to-end iOS experience, setting technical direction for the iOS platform, building real-time data handling features, leading code reviews, establishing engineering standards, and collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to ship high-quality mobile experiences.
• Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform, enabling users to trade on real-world event outcomes across politics, economics, sports, and culture, with $21B traded in 2025 and a mission to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media.
• The role offers the opportunity to shape mobile strategy, raise the engineering bar across the team, work on high-impact real-time financial applications, and grow leadership and technical expertise in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant iOS engineering experience with a track record of shipping and owning high-quality iOS applications in production
• Deep experience building trading, financial, or sportsbook applications, understanding the product domain and technical demands
• Strong knowledge of Swift and the iOS SDK, with solid instincts around performance, memory management, and real-time data handling
• Experience building apps that consume live data feeds and display fast-moving information reliably and smoothly
• High bar for product quality, caring about how things feel, not just whether they work
• Comfortable operating with broad ownership in a fast-moving environment
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, working well with product, design, and backend engineers
• (Plus) Familiarity with WebSockets, streaming APIs, or other real-time data infrastructure
• (Plus) Experience leading or mentoring iOS engineers
• (Plus) Background in a high-growth startup environment
