• • As a Staff Mobile Engineer at MLabs, you will be at the forefront of building the next generation of decentralized finance (DeFi) trading experiences. This role places you at the critical intersection of engineering, design, and product, with a primary focus on crafting a premium mobile platform that rivals native application performance and user experience.
• • You will be instrumental in shaping the technical and experiential roadmap for our mobile platform, driving innovation and setting the standard for what our users can expect. This involves not just writing code, but envisioning and implementing the future of mobile DeFi trading.
• • A core aspect of your role will be the development of elegant, high-performance user interfaces using React Native. These interfaces will power real-time trading functionalities, sophisticated analytics dashboards, and engaging social features, all designed to be intuitive and responsive.
• • You will be responsible for implementing fluid animations, expressive gestures, and tactile feedback mechanisms that enhance user engagement and provide a polished, professional feel. This will involve deep expertise in libraries like React Native Reanimated and React Native Gesture Handler to create truly dynamic and interactive elements.
• • Designing and maintaining a resilient real-time data layer is crucial. You will leverage TypeScript to ensure robust handling of WebSockets and seamless management of connectivity changes, guaranteeing a stable and reliable experience for traders even in dynamic network conditions.
• • To unlock advanced platform capabilities and create unique UI primitives, you will engage in native bridging. This means developing native modules where JavaScript limitations require direct access to platform-specific features, ensuring our mobile app can leverage the full power of iOS and Android.
• • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with backend engineers to design efficient APIs and optimize data flows, ensuring that data is transmitted to the mobile platform in a bandwidth-efficient manner and processed with maximum speed.
• • Your role extends to ensuring the mobile application maintains exceptional performance, specifically targeting 60 FPS experiences even when dealing with complex animated lists and real-time data streams. This requires a keen eye for performance bottlenecks and a proactive approach to optimization.
• • You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the nuances of iOS and Android platforms, including their respective layout systems, motion design principles, and interaction patterns, to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across both operating systems.
• • A product-oriented mindset is essential. You will own features end-to-end, from the initial conceptualization and prototyping stages through to the final release on the App Store and Google Play Store, demonstrating a commitment to delivering complete, high-quality solutions.
• • You will utilize advanced tooling for performance profiling, such as Flipper, Xcode Instruments, or Android Studio, to identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring the app remains fast and responsive.
