đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Jane AI, a dynamic startup within Jane Technologies, Inc., dedicated to revolutionizing the allied health industry through AI-first solutions. As a Staff Mobile Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of practice management software, specifically focusing on the development of Jane Companion, an innovative AI-powered mobile product. This role is central to our mission of "helping the helpers" by creating a fundamentally new and intelligent way for practitioners to manage their clinics, powered by AI that deeply understands allied health workflows.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with the complete ownership of the architecture and technical direction for the Jane AI mobile experience. This involves making critical, foundational decisions that will ensure the product's scalability and success as we transition from early adopters to widespread adoption across thousands of clinics. You will be the driving force behind significant performance enhancements within our AI and audio pipelines. This includes a strong focus on reducing latency, optimizing streaming capabilities, and ensuring that AI-generated content is delivered with an instant and reliable feel, which is crucial for the fast-paced nature of clinical environments. A key responsibility will be the development of robust offline synchronization capabilities and the establishment of a solid data architecture. This will guarantee that our mobile product functions seamlessly in real-world clinical settings, where network connectivity can be inconsistent, and patient data security remains paramount. You will also be tasked with deconstructing complex challenges, ranging from ensuring compliance with healthcare data security regulations to implementing sophisticated AI integration patterns. This will involve creating clear, actionable technical plans and collaborating closely with your team and cross-functional partners to deliver solutions iteratively, ensuring continuous progress and adaptation.
  • • The Jane AI team is a lean, agile group of eight designers and developers operating with the autonomy of a startup. We are building our own AI infrastructure and developing Jane Companion, a product that redefines practice management from the ground up. We are not simply adding AI features to existing software; we are creating a new paradigm for how allied health practitioners manage their clinics. Our work is characterized by a fast pace, a high degree of ambiguity, and a collective drive to innovate and solve challenging problems at the intersection of mobile technology and artificial intelligence. We are united by a shared vision to transform Jane into a leading AI-first offering within our industry.
  • • This role offers an unparalleled opportunity for growth and impact. You will gain deep expertise in building and scaling mobile applications at the forefront of AI integration. You will have the chance to mentor and elevate other senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing. By owning critical aspects of the mobile architecture and performance, you will directly contribute to the success of a groundbreaking product. Furthermore, you will develop a nuanced understanding of healthcare data security, AI pipeline optimization, and the unique challenges of building offline-first mobile solutions in a regulated industry. Your work will directly influence the product's trajectory and its ability to serve thousands of clinics, making a tangible difference in the lives of allied health practitioners.
  • • As a Staff Mobile Engineer, you will be at the heart of innovation, tackling complex technical hurdles and driving the mobile strategy for Jane AI. Your contributions will be essential in delivering a product that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of allied health professionals. You will be empowered to make significant technical decisions, influence the team's direction, and play a key role in achieving product-market fit with urgency. This position is ideal for an experienced mobile engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems. You will be working with a talented and dedicated team committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AI-driven healthcare solutions. The opportunity to build something entirely new, from the ground up, with a focus on performance, offline capabilities, and seamless AI integration, makes this a truly unique and rewarding career step. You will be a critical voice in technical discussions, architectural reviews, and strategic planning, ensuring the mobile platform is robust, scalable, and future-proof. Your leadership in technical mentorship will be invaluable as the team grows and tackles increasingly complex features and integrations. This role is designed for someone who wants to leave a significant mark on a product and a company, driving innovation and setting new standards in the industry.
