- • As a Staff Mobile Engineer at Rula Health, you will play a pivotal role in building the company’s first mobile applications from the ground up, directly contributing to the mission of making mental health care more accessible, personalized, and stigma-free through innovative, AI-enabled experiences that enhance human connection in therapy.
- • You will define the technical foundation for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native, establish engineering best practices, and guide the mobile strategy to ensure scalable, high-quality patient-facing applications that align with Rula’s vision of transforming therapy into a more connected and supportive journey.
- • Day to day, you will architect and develop core mobile features, write clean, maintainable code, and lead the implementation of UI/UX components in collaboration with design and product teams to deliver intuitive patient experiences.
- • You will set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines for mobile releases, ensuring reliable, automated testing and deployment processes that support rapid iteration and high availability.
- • You will integrate native modules (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android) to extend React Native capabilities where needed, balancing performance with cross-platform efficiency.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product, design, clinical, and backend engineers to translate clinical insights and product requirements into functional mobile experiences that support end-to-end therapy workflows.
- • You will mentor junior engineers, foster technical excellence, and help scale the mobile organization by establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and promoting a culture of learning and ownership.
- • You will contribute to 0→1 product development, shaping the mobile roadmap as a founding mobile engineer in a high-growth startup environment focused on innovation in mental healthcare.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years of professional mobile development
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native in production environments
- • Proven track record of shipping mobile applications end-to-end, from concept to launch and maintenance
- • Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps (iOS and Android)
- • Familiarity with native mobile development (iOS: Swift/Objective-C; Android: Kotlin/Java) for building and integrating native modules
