Staff Network Engineer

📋 Description

• • Design and implement complex network solutions across on-premises, public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and hybrid environments to support Kaseya’s global IT infrastructure.
• • Manage and maintain core network infrastructure including routers, switches, and cloud-native networking services across multi-region deployments.
• • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues spanning Layer 2/Layer 3, overlay networks, cloud fabrics, and ISP peering domains with urgency and precision.
• • Monitor and optimize network performance, security, and availability across data centers, WAN, internet edge, and cloud environments.
• • Design and support highly available, multi-region cloud architectures and hybrid connectivity models that ensure business continuity and scalability.
• • Implement and optimize secure connectivity to public clouds using AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect, and IPsec/SSL VPNs.
• • Support internet edge design including eBGP peering, transit routing, and route optimization to ensure low-latency, high-throughput connectivity.
• • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network automation, cloud migration, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• • Document network configurations, architectural designs, and operational best practices for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• • Mentor junior network engineers in modern networking technologies, including cloud networking, service provider protocols, and automation practices.
• • Apply deep expertise in BGP (including route reflectors and confederations), EVPN/VXLAN, L2/L3 switching, and IPv6 to solve intricate network challenges.
• • Implement and enforce network security controls including IPsec, SSL, and DDoS mitigation strategies across all network layers.
• • Work in multi-vendor environments using Cisco Nexus, 6500s, ASAs, and Palo Alto firewalls to maintain consistent network policies and performance.
• • Leverage automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and shell scripting to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
• • Design and manage VPC/VNet segmentation, security groups, NSGs, and firewall policies within AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• • Apply zero-trust security principles and cloud network security models to protect Kaseya’s global endpoint ecosystem.
• • Engage with ISPs and service providers to provision circuits, troubleshoot last-mile and backbone connectivity issues, and optimize transit relationships.
• • Maintain expertise in carrier-grade networking concepts including MPLS, L3VPNs, and EVPN within service provider contexts.
• • Participate in cross-team initiatives to integrate network infrastructure with cloud deployments and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
