- • The Staff Pharmacist role at Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, part of Evernorth Health Services under The Cigna Group, is a full-time remote position critical to ensuring safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of specialty medications for patients with complex health conditions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting physicians’ prescriptions, verifying prescription details with prescribers or patients, confirming validity of controlled substances, consulting patients on medication use and potential drug interactions, tracking order status, resolving dispensing issues, providing oversight to pharmacy technicians, and training less experienced pharmacists as needed.
- • The team operates within Evernorth Health Services, a division focused on innovative pharmacy, care, and benefit solutions that improve health outcomes and increase vitality for millions of people through prediction, prevention, and treatment accessibility.
- • In this role, the pharmacist will deepen clinical expertise in specialty pharmacy, enhance patient consultation skills, gain experience in regulatory compliance and quality assurance, and develop leadership abilities through mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current resident pharmacist license in good standing in AZ, FL, IN, OH, PA, or TN
- • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately
- • Strong focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy
- • Good oral and written communication skills
- • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential 11:00 am – 8:00 pm local time shifts and occasional weekend or on-call rotations
