- • As a Staff Platform Engineer on Laurel’s Time Owls infrastructure team, you will be a force multiplier for every engineer by building and maintaining the reliable, secure, and easy-to-use platforms that power Laurel’s AI Time platform—transforming how professional services firms capture, analyze, and optimize time as their most valuable resource.
- • You will own critical platform capabilities including preview environments, deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability, working primarily with application engineers whose backends are written in TypeScript, while contributing to all applications across the company and advocating for engineering best practices.
- • Laurel’s infrastructure team, the Time Owls, ensures the platform’s reliability, security, and usability by building tools and automation for AWS, Kubernetes, and other services, enabling engineers to work efficiently and safely while driving improvements in incident response, cost efficiency, and platform stability.
- • You will deepen your expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, DevOps automation, and platform engineering while shaping the technical foundation of a mission-driven company backed by top-tier investors and serving elite clients like EY, Aprio, and Crowell & Moring.
- • Through hands-on ownership of Terraform modules, Go libraries, Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and TypeScript backend code, you will enable faster, safer feature delivery across the organization and help Laurel scale its impact in redefining productivity in the knowledge economy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS
- • Development experience with Terraform, Go, and TypeScript
- • Experience working in startup environments
- • Significant experience with Linux administration
- • Familiarity with Git and infrastructure-as-code workflows
- • Experience participating in a regular engineering on-call rotation
- • Experience with CI/CD tooling and platforms
