📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end vision, roadmap, and execution of LiveKit’s Agent Observability product, serving as the sole Product Manager for this strategic initiative.
• Define and prioritize features across the observability suite including traces, call recordings, dashboards, agent evaluations, and quality metrics to enable teams to debug, measure, and trust their voice AI agents in production.
• Design a unified product experience that serves two distinct user personas: technical engineers debugging system failures and non-technical operators monitoring agent performance, cost, and behavior.
• Build measurable quality metrics for AI agents that track latency, cost, conversation quality, and behavioral consistency to determine agent effectiveness and improvement over time.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate complex technical systems into intuitive, actionable product experiences without compromising depth or accuracy.
• Engage directly with customers to understand how they currently monitor, debug, and evaluate voice agents in production, using real-world usage patterns to shape product priorities.
• Drive product adoption and revenue growth by aligning the observability offering with customer value, ensuring pricing and positioning reflect the tangible impact on agent performance and operational efficiency.
• Establish foundational product frameworks for a nascent category in voice AI observability, shaping industry standards through product decisions that influence how AI agents are monitored at scale.
• Balance rapid iteration with high polish, ensuring the product delivers exceptional UX even when handling dense, real-time data streams and complex diagnostic workflows.
• Communicate product strategy clearly across teams and stakeholders, moving fluidly between board-level discussions on market opportunity and deep technical reviews with engineers on system architecture.
• Operate with autonomy in a small, high-leverage product team, making prioritized decisions under ambiguity and without perfect information to move the business forward.
• Continuously refine the product based on usage data, customer feedback, and emerging patterns in agent deployment across enterprise clients like OpenAI, Salesforce, and Meta.
• Ensure the observability product integrates seamlessly with LiveKit’s core infrastructure for real-time voice and video communication, maintaining consistency in performance and reliability.
• Champion a culture of quality and detail, where every dashboard, metric, and trace is designed for clarity, utility, and long-term scalability.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product management at a senior or staff level, with experience owning a developer-facing or data-heavy product
• Technical depth to understand complex systems and earn the trust of engineering teams, without needing to write code
• Proven experience building products for both technical users and non-technical operators within the same interface
• Strong cross-functional influence skills in autonomous engineering environments, relying on clarity and judgment over hierarchy
• Exceptional communication skills, with ability to articulate strategy at executive levels and dive into technical details with engineers
• Comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-growing startup, prioritizing ruthlessly and shipping quickly without perfect information
