- • As a Staff Product Manager for Lending Products at Super.com, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial offerings, directly impacting the financial well-being of our members and driving significant business growth.
- • This is a critical leadership position, functioning as a Managerial Individual Contributor, with a dual focus on scaling our existing Cash Advance product and spearheading the incubation, strategy, and development of new lending products. These new ventures will encompass a range of financial solutions, including credit cards, lines of credit, personal loans, and debt consolidation, all designed to meet our members' immediate and future cash needs.
- • Your overarching goal will be to cultivate deeper, long-term relationships with our member base by providing essential financial tools and support.
- • You will be entrusted with setting clear Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), driving Profit and Loss (P&L) for your product vertical, and taking full ownership of product outcomes.
- • A key responsibility will be to transform raw data and user insights into actionable growth strategies that propel our lending products forward.
- • Your accountability will extend across the entire lifecycle of our lending products, encompassing end-to-end metrics such as acquisition rates, funnel conversion optimization, approval success, take rates, member retention, Lifetime Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and repayment performance.
- • You will collaborate closely with a diverse array of cross-functional partners, including but not limited to Risk, Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, Growth Marketing, Legal, and Compliance teams, to achieve ambitious business results.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to developing product strategy, executing flawlessly on product roadmaps, and measurably enhancing the lives of Super.com members through innovative financial solutions.
- • You will have the opportunity to mentor and potentially manage an exceptional Product Manager who will serve as your co-pilot, leading the day-to-day execution of lending initiatives.
- • Reporting directly to the Sr. Group PM for Financial Products, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading your product portfolio and engaging with senior executives, including the General Manager (GM), SVP of Product, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), on a routine basis.
- • We are seeking a leader with a proven track record of building successful 0-1 products from inception to market, as well as scaling existing products to achieve significant growth.
- • The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive teams to execute effectively even in ambiguous circumstances, demonstrating a deep dive into data to extract critical insights and make well-informed, data-driven decisions.
- • A strong bias for action, a commitment to taking ownership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving – identifying and resolving issues before they become apparent – are essential qualities.
- • The successful candidate will be adept at persuasive communication through compelling storytelling, capable of operating at both the granular level within sprints and ceremonies and at a strategic, future-oriented altitude.
- • You will be expected to engage in debates from a first-principles and data-driven perspective, championing the best solutions for our members and the business.
- • This role offers significant growth potential, with the possibility of expanding to manage multiple direct reports in the future.
- • **Drive Outcomes:** You will be responsible for setting and achieving OKRs aligned with the mission of your Market Acceleration Team (MAT), proactively communicating challenges, successes, and blockers to stakeholders, and ultimately being held accountable for the team's performance and mission success. Your commitment will be to ensure your team achieves its goals through any necessary means.
- • **Lead MAT & Roadmap:** You will own the performance and outcomes of your cross-functional MAT. In close collaboration with your co-pilot, you will lead sprint and agile ceremonies, delving into the details to remove impediments for the team. You will also work with the GM and Sr. GPM to define the high-level strategic direction and roadmap for the team, ensuring end-to-end ownership of both output and impact.
- • **Write, Launch, and Review PRDs & Experiments:** You will be responsible for creating detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and experiment plans, as well as reviewing documentation produced by your team. You will lead the launch of these products and experiments to our user base and meticulously study their impact to inform future decisions and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for success.
- • **Manage Stakeholders:** You will influence key executives (GM, CEO, CTO), leaders (Sr. GPM, Directors, Managers), and adjacent MAT leads. Maintaining alignment with your vertical and product colleagues, and ensuring they are in sync with your initiatives, is crucial. You will operate as an effective leader of leaders and teammates.
- • **Analyze, Research, and Assess:** You will conduct in-depth analysis using tools like Amplitude, conduct user interviews, leverage UXR research, and utilize platforms like Hotjar to gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer, their needs, and their jobs-to-be-done. You will also analyze product and business performance to make robust, data-driven decisions and regularly present these insights to key leadership.
- • **Own the Experience:** You will take full accountability for the end-to-end customer experience within your domain, ensuring that customer needs are met with high-quality products. This includes knowing when to compromise and when to stand firm to truly solve customer problems.
- • **Build Customer Empathy:** Through active research, listening to customer feedback, and engaging directly with the product as a user, you will build a deep understanding of our customers, their unique financial situations, and their daily experiences with our products.
