As a Staff Product Manager for Pro Exchange, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our flagship trading platforms, Kraken Pro web and mobile, and the underlying matching infrastructure for spot, margin, and derivative products.
• This is a pivotal role where you will act as a mentor and thought leader across the entire Kraken Pro platform. Your expertise will elevate product thinking and execution, ensuring our platform remains a trusted, secure, and leading solution for a diverse range of clients, from individual traders to sophisticated algorithmic firms and prime brokerages.
• You will be responsible for defining and owning the long-term product strategy and roadmap for trading capabilities within the Pro Exchange pod. This involves deep dives into market structure, trade execution, and the intricate needs of institutional clients.
• Collaborate closely with world-class engineering, design, operations, and other cross-functional teams to conceptualize, build, and launch new features, functionalities, and enhancements that drive user engagement and platform growth.
• Drive alignment and maintain transparent communication across various teams and executive leadership. Your ability to clearly articulate priorities, product decisions, and strategic vision will be crucial for shared understanding and successful execution.
• Translate complex business requirements and institutional client needs into detailed, technical product requirements. This includes crafting precise specifications, defining process flows, and creating wireframes that guide the development process.
• Work hand-in-hand with our Institutional Sales and Trading teams to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients. Your insights will be vital in understanding their evolving needs and translating them into product solutions.
• Contribute to the optimization of trading operations, ensuring our platform offers deep liquidity, robust risk management, and seamless execution for all users.
• Champion innovation within the Pro Exchange space, constantly seeking opportunities to improve existing features and introduce groundbreaking new capabilities that set Kraken apart in the competitive crypto landscape.
• Leverage your deep understanding of trade execution, market structure, multivenue execution, pricing models, and risk management to inform product strategy and development.
• Bridge the gap between complex trading concepts and actionable technical product requirements, making sophisticated trading accessible and efficient.
• Utilize strong quantitative and analytical skills to model financial markets, analyze complex trading systems, and derive actionable insights from data to inform product decisions.
• Develop and implement operational processes, risk models, and safeguards to ensure trade compliance, smooth execution, and effective risk management throughout the entire trade lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, staying ahead of new trends, technologies, and developments within the rapidly evolving crypto industry.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in product leadership roles with experience driving end-to-end development of institutional-grade platforms.
• Proven ability to translate institutional client needs into intuitive, scalable product solutions.
• Deep understanding of trade execution, market structure, multivenue execution, pricing models, and risk management.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with familiarity with financial markets modeling and complex trading systems.
