- • As a Staff Product Manager at Perk (formerly TravelPerk), you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how modern businesses manage their travel and spend. Your primary mission is to dismantle the traditional, fragmented approach to travel and expense management, merging these often-siloed functions into a single, cohesive, and exceptionally user-friendly platform. This is not about making minor adjustments; it's about architecting an end-to-end experience that eliminates friction from the initial budgeting and approval stages through to seamless submission, payment processing, and automated reconciliation.
- • You will own a critical strategic domain within our product, with a specific focus on driving significant growth for our Spend product. This role is designed for a proactive and visionary individual who thrives in environments characterized by ambiguity and opportunity. You will be expected to conduct deep research into unmet user needs, identify key pain points, and then orchestrate the execution of solutions across multiple product squads to bring your vision to life.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of strategic and tactical product management activities. You will be instrumental in digging into user insights, leveraging both quantitative data and qualitative feedback to pinpoint the most impactful opportunities for improvement and innovation. These findings will be crucial in shaping actionable strategies that align with the company's overarching goals.
- • A core aspect of your role will involve clearly articulating the product vision and strategy. You will be responsible for communicating the "why" and "where" of your product areas to inspire your cross-functional teams and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned and informed. This involves crafting compelling narratives that resonate with engineers, designers, sales, marketing, and leadership.
- • You will define and refine product strategies, outlining clear plans for addressing the most critical problems. This includes articulating the rationale behind these initiatives, detailing the proposed solutions, and establishing measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) to track success and demonstrate impact.
- • Collaboration and execution are paramount. You will work hand-in-hand with engineering, design, and various business functions, including Implementation, Sales Engineering, and Account Management, to translate your strategies into tangible product features and improvements. A key principle will be to deliver value incrementally, ensuring continuous progress and adaptability.
- • As the subject matter expert for your product area, you will be the go-to person for answers, responsible for creating comprehensive training materials, and ensuring that product documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to internal teams and potentially customers.
- • You will lead with a servant-leadership approach, fostering an environment where your team feels empowered, focused, and unhindered by distractions. Your role will be to help the team maintain momentum, encourage creativity, and promote a collaborative spirit that drives innovation.
- • Beyond your immediate team, you will contribute to the broader product organization by continuously learning, sharing insights, and actively participating in initiatives to elevate the entire product function, helping to build and maintain a world-class product team at Perk.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of business travel and spend management, directly impacting the productivity and financial well-being of thousands of companies worldwide. You will be instrumental in building a product that not only solves complex business challenges but also enhances the daily work experience for users.
