📋 Description

• As a Staff Product Manager for Vault at Harvey AI, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of how legal and professional services interact with critical data and knowledge. This pivotal role centers on owning and driving the product vision, strategy, and execution for our document and knowledge management platform, known as Vault. Vault serves as the bedrock for our AI capabilities, enabling law firms and enterprise clients to securely store, meticulously organize, efficiently search, and strategically leverage their vast repositories of documents and institutional knowledge within Harvey's advanced AI-powered ecosystem.
• Your leadership will extend to guiding cross-functional teams through the entire product development lifecycle. This includes the meticulous planning, building, and scaling of Vault's core functionalities. Key areas of focus will encompass sophisticated file management, AI-enhanced search and question-answering capabilities that unlock insights from complex documents, precise document extraction for key information, secure sharing mechanisms across diverse workspaces, and the critical seamless integration with leading enterprise document management systems such as iManage, SharePoint, and Dropbox. • A core responsibility will be to define and champion the overarching product vision and roadmap for Vault. This involves developing a compelling and forward-thinking product strategy that is intrinsically aligned with Harvey's overarching mission to revolutionize legal and professional services through cutting-edge AI. You will be adept at balancing the immediate, pressing needs of our customers with the strategic imperative of making long-term platform investments that ensure scalability and future innovation.
• You will drive the end-to-end product development process, leading dynamic cross-functional teams. This collaboration will span engineering, design, AI/ML specialists, and go-to-market functions, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality features from the initial spark of ideation through to launch, and critically, through ongoing iteration and improvement based on user feedback and performance data.
• A deep and collaborative partnership with the engineering team will be essential. You will work hand-in-hand with engineering leadership to make informed technical and architectural decisions, demonstrating a willingness to dive deep into complex technical challenges. Your involvement will ensure that we are consistently building robust, scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that can meet the demands of our enterprise clients.
• A profound understanding and unwavering advocacy for customer needs are paramount. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Legal Product Specialists to gain an intimate understanding of how law firms and enterprise clients utilize Vault in their daily operations. Identifying adoption barriers, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and translating these critical insights into tangible product improvements will be a continuous effort.
• You will own the enterprise integrations strategy for Vault. This involves driving the vision for how Vault seamlessly connects with a variety of essential document management systems (including iManage, SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box) and other critical enterprise tools. The goal is to ensure frictionless workflows and maximum utility for our customers, making Vault an indispensable part of their existing technology stack.
• Defining and rigorously tracking key success metrics is crucial. You will establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Vault's adoption rates, user engagement levels, and overall value realization. Utilizing data-driven insights to inform product decisions and to effectively demonstrate the tangible impact Vault has on our customers' operations will be a core function.
• Broad cross-functional collaboration will be a daily reality. You will partner effectively with Product Marketing to ensure compelling product positioning, with Partnerships to foster strategic alliances, and with Admin/Governance teams to guarantee successful product launches and alignment with the broader capabilities of the Harvey platform.
• As the product organization scales, you will play a vital role in nurturing Harvey's product culture. This includes mentoring emerging product managers, actively sharing valuable learnings and insights, and contributing to the establishment and refinement of best practices across the team, ensuring a high standard of product excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a Staff or Senior PM capacity at a high-growth technology company.
• Proven track record of owning and scaling complex platform or infrastructure products, ideally within enterprise SaaS, document management, knowledge management, or data-intensive domains.
• Strong technical acumen, enabling deep engagement with engineering on system design, distributed systems, data pipelines, and retrieval architectures.
• Experience building products that handle sensitive data, requiring robust security, compliance, and access control measures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence effectively across all levels, from engineers to executives.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and drive clarity amidst complexity.
• Strong product sense and meticulous attention to detail, capable of considering both high-level strategy and granular implementation specifics.
