Staff Security Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Staff Security Engineer at Mozilla Corporation, you will serve as an Incident Responder responsible for monitoring and mitigating security attacks across Mozilla’s global products and services, playing a critical role in protecting users and maintaining the integrity of the internet as a public resource.
• • Day to day, you will identify and respond to security incidents at scale, act as an incident commander driving incidents through the full response lifecycle, design and maintain security alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows for 24/7 incident response, conduct threat hunting, research threat intelligence, triage workflows, partner with stakeholders, and participate in on-call rotations.
• • You will join Mozilla’s security team within a mission-driven, non-profit-backed organization that has shaped the internet for over 25 years through products like Firefox, serving over 225 million monthly users worldwide while prioritizing privacy, security, and openness.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in incident response, threat detection engineering, security automation (SOAR), SIEM platforms, and cloud security, while developing leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills in a high-trust, distributed environment dedicated to building a more secure internet.
