- • Design, test, and implement scalable data pipelines to assess security configurations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premise tooling using the Databricks platform.
- • Build and deploy robust security tools for managing and evaluating security posture, integrating with third-party applications and cloud APIs including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Terraform.
- • Lead end-to-end projects that support data collection and integration with vulnerability detection and threat monitoring systems.
- • Work as an individual contributor on the Security Continuous Monitoring team, reporting to the Director of Continuous Monitoring.
- • Apply expertise in securing at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to enhance platform-wide security controls.
- • Develop and maintain software systems that handle sensitive data with compliance awareness, including FedRAMP Moderate/High standards where applicable.
- • Utilize Python, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD automation to automate security workflows and ensure reliable, observable distributed systems.
- • Correlate security data using data correlation engines to identify threats and anomalies across heterogeneous environments.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate complex security findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- • Mentor peers and drive strategic security initiatives that shape the organization’s security direction.
- • Demonstrate a bias for action by delivering high-quality, production-ready security solutions with a focus on reliability and observability.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Databricks’ security infrastructure by aligning with industry best practices and emerging threat landscapes.
- • Ensure systems are designed with scalability, resilience, and auditability as core principles to support enterprise-grade security requirements.
- • Participate in the design and implementation of security controls that protect data and AI infrastructure used by over 10,000 organizations worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years specifically in security-related engineering
- • 6+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with a focus on reliability and observability
- • Expertise in securing at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- • Experience with Python, Git/GitHub, CI/CD automation, and Terraform
- • Experience with software security and systems that handle sensitive data; FedRAMP Moderate/High experience preferred
- • Experience with data correlation engines preferred
