📋 Description

• As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer on the Platform team at Motiv Inc., you will play a crucial role in designing, scaling, and managing AWS-backed services for millions of connected IoT devices, mobile, and SaaS users, ensuring high availability and reliability of the platform.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and product teams to build cloud-native, event-driven infrastructure; advancing IaC (Terraform) and CM (Helm) practices; identifying and removing system bottlenecks in AWS and Kubernetes environments; ensuring 99.99% customer-facing uptime; and improving monitoring and alerting systems to enable proactive incident management.
• Motiv empowers physical operations teams with tools to enhance safety, productivity, and profitability, serving nearly 100,000 customers across industries like transportation, construction, energy, manufacturing, and more through a unified platform that integrates AI-driven insights and automation.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native architectures, large-scale Kubernetes and AWS environments, infrastructure as code, and system reliability engineering, while contributing to the platform’s scalability to support the next million devices and beyond.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional SRE/DevOps experience with a proven track record on high-volume production systems
• Demonstrated systems architecture expertise, including solving complex technical problems and implementing company-wide solutions
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services such as ALB/ELB, IAM, DynamoDB, SNS, EKS, and Fargate
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration Management (Helm charts)
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or similar; knowledge of Ruby or Golang is a plus
• Strong ownership mindset and drive to collaborate across teams to deliver improvements to production
