Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Serve as a technical anchor for the engineering domain, making strategic decisions that shape product direction and technical health over a 6–12 month horizon.
  • • Balance short-term delivery demands with long-term architectural sustainability, pushing back on requirements that introduce unsustainable technical debt.
  • • Translate complex business objectives into clear technical implementations and represent engineering perspectives in cross-functional leadership planning.
  • • Establish and uphold the team’s technical quality bar by writing reference-grade code that sets the standard for others.
  • • Architect multi-component systems within the pharmacy automation domain, producing detailed technical design documents reviewed by the broader engineering organization.
  • • Identify and remediate systemic quality issues including tech debt hotspots, inadequate test coverage, and scalability bottlenecks through structured migration roadmaps.
  • • Evaluate and onboard new technologies, languages, and patterns as business needs evolve, ensuring long-term technology choices align with organizational goals.
  • • Design and implement AI-driven agentic workflows such as automated code reviews and LLM-assisted QA pipelines to increase team output and efficiency.
  • • Contribute directly to AI-powered features using working knowledge of RAG, function calling, and evaluation frameworks within production systems.
  • • Evaluate, select, and standardize AI tooling for the team, including establishing prompt libraries and workflow templates for company-wide adoption.
  • • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects across multiple engineers, managing cross-team dependencies and owning technical roadmaps tied to product milestones.
  • • Own the end-to-end product surface including correctness, reliability, latency, and user experience for critical healthcare infrastructure systems.
  • • Conduct lightweight user discovery through interviews and support ticket analysis to inform engineering priorities and ensure solutions solve real patient and provider problems.
  • • Hold the team accountable for shipping software that delivers tangible user value, not just software that passes automated tests.
  • • Mentor and coach peers through 1:1s, technical reviews, and hiring panels to foster technical growth and career development.
  • • Drive a culture of psychological safety and high performance by modeling accountability, transparency, and constructive feedback.
  • • Lead alignment on contentious technical decisions by clearly articulating the rationale behind ambiguous or high-stakes choices.
  • • Build new systems on a modern Node.js/TypeScript/GCP stack with no legacy debt, enabling clean, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
  • • Leverage production-grade AI platforms including OpenAI, Langfuse, and Vertex AI to develop features that directly impact patient care and provider workflows.
  • • Influence both the product roadmap and the company’s technical direction with direct input at leadership tables.
  • • Own outcomes that are visibly connected to customer satisfaction and revenue generation across the AI-powered digital pharmacy platform.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven track record of building complex systems from scratch with measurable impact
  • • Experience architecting multi-component systems and producing technical design documents reviewed by peers
  • • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts including RAG, function calling, and evaluation frameworks
  • • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects across teams and manage cross-functional dependencies
  • • Strong mentorship experience with a focus on technical growth and coaching peers
  • • Deep understanding of modern web stacks (Node.js, TypeScript) and cloud platforms (GCP)

🏖️ Benefits
