- • As a Staff Software Engineer on Workato’s Engine team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers recipe execution, enabling businesses to automate workflows across applications and data sources.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex backend systems in Ruby and Go, improving the execution engine for custom code, integrating with data storage solutions like Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, and ClickHouse, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.
- • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership through code reviews and system improvements, and help identify and resolve performance bottlenecks while ensuring code quality, scalability, and reliability.

🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in building scalable distributed backend applications (7+ years)
- • Excellent understanding of distributed systems patterns and algorithms
- • Proficiency in Ruby and Go, with experience in at least two programming languages
- • Solid grasp of cloud deployment technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, and ArgoCD
- • Experience working with public cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
