📋 Description

• As a Staff Software Engineer at ServiceTitan, you will serve as a key technical leader within the Engineering leadership team, responsible for shaping the technical vision and direction of your squad’s product initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring that over 50,000 users who depend on ServiceTitan’s software daily receive reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions that power their core business operations.
• You will own the end-to-end technical vision for your squad, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural excellence, while fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
• Day to day, you will: define and evolve the technical roadmap for your squad’s features and systems; make influential technical decisions that guide team direction without micromanaging; provide hands-on mentorship and code-level guidance to engineers across experience levels; lead regular technical design and code reviews to uphold quality standards; share knowledge through tech talks, blog posts, and collaborative sessions; and act as a technical bridge between engineering, product, customers, and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency.
• You will partner closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate business goals into technically sound, scalable solutions, while advocating for best practices in distributed systems, API design, and data integrity using the Microsoft .NET stack and SQL Server.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers
• 12+ years of total industry experience in software development
• Expert-level proficiency in the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#/.NET) and SQL databases (including Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture, particularly microservices, along with strong skills in Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring
• Excellent communication and technical writing abilities, with experience conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related technical field
