📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end product features for Optro’s AI Governance platform using Python and FastAPI, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance at enterprise scale.
• Lead architectural decisions for complex backend systems, defining patterns and standards that improve system maintainability and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and one-on-one feedback to foster technical growth and team cohesion.
• Write clear, comprehensive design documentation for new features and system changes, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Develop and maintain RESTful JSON APIs that power internal and external B2B integrations, adhering to industry best practices for security, versioning, and error handling.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve critical production issues across distributed systems, leveraging monitoring tools and logs to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Implement and optimize ETL pipelines and data engineering workflows that support audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec data processing requirements.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment to prioritize, estimate, and deliver features on schedule.
• Write well-tested, clean, and maintainable code with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system integrity and reduce regression risk.
• Contribute to open-source projects aligned with Optro’s mission, promoting transparency and community engagement in tooling and infrastructure.
• Apply agentic software development tools and processes to automate workflows, improve deployment velocity, and enhance developer experience.
• Think product-minded by consistently evaluating how technical decisions impact customer outcomes, especially for Fortune 500 clients using the platform for compliance and governance.
• Work with core infrastructure technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native environments to deploy and scale services efficiently.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and rapid response to critical incidents in a 24/7 enterprise SaaS environment.
• Champion Optro’s company values by demonstrating grit, innovation, and collaboration while driving initiatives that improve both product quality and team culture.
• Stay current with emerging trends in AI governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance to inform technical roadmap decisions and architecture upgrades.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing web-based applications and platforms
• Expertise in writing REST / JSON APIs
• Experience working with B2B integrations
• Experience writing software tests
• Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering
• Ability to solve technical problems independently
