• • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Enterprise Platform team at Replit, you will be instrumental in constructing the foundational infrastructure that empowers the world's largest organizations to leverage Replit securely and in compliance with their stringent requirements. This role is critical in enabling enterprise-grade adoption of Replit's innovative agentic software creation platform, which democratizes development through natural language interfaces.
• • In this pivotal role, you will architect and implement sophisticated solutions for deployment flexibility, advanced networking capabilities, robust authorization systems, and comprehensive data controls. Your daily responsibilities will involve designing and building single-tenant architectures and private connectivity options, ensuring customers can deploy Replit within their own secure environments. You will also develop custom policy enforcement mechanisms and integrate customer-managed encryption solutions, providing enterprises with the granular control and security they demand. This involves a deep dive into the intricacies of cloud infrastructure and the specific needs of enterprise clients, requiring close collaboration with Platform Engineering, Security, and Sales teams to deliver features that meet the high standards of demanding organizations.
• • Your day-to-day activities will include the hands-on development of enterprise deployment infrastructure, focusing on creating single-tenant and dedicated deployment options that offer the isolation guarantees necessary for robust security postures. You will implement private networking capabilities such as VPC peering, private connectivity, and static IP configurations, facilitating seamless integration of Replit into existing enterprise network architectures. A significant part of your work will involve designing and building authorization services that enforce custom enterprise policies, enabling fine-grained access controls, sophisticated permission models, and policy enforcement that aligns with customers' existing identity and governance systems. Furthermore, you will ship critical data protection features, including bring-your-own-key (BYOK) encryption, customer-managed keys, and data residency controls, ensuring enterprises maintain complete ownership and control over their most sensitive data. You will also develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform to ensure reliable and repeatable enterprise deployments across various regions and configurations. A key aspect of the role involves debugging and hardening complex infrastructure systems, delving into intricate problems that span networking, authorization, Kubernetes, and cloud services to enhance the robustness and diagnosability of the enterprise platform. You will actively partner with go-to-market teams, including Sales and Customer Success, to thoroughly understand enterprise infrastructure requirements, accurately scope technical solutions, and effectively unblock customer deployments. Additionally, you will contribute significantly to the technical strategy by helping to define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for enterprise infrastructure reliability and participating in crucial build-vs-buy decisions for complex infrastructure capabilities.
